I sent an email to health canada about growing the licenced ammount of indoor plants for a 10gram perscription which was 37 indoor plants and 10 outdoor plants. https://www.licencetogrow.ca/ i got mine here but i hear lyteclinic does free perscriptions.

“Please note that there is no definition of ‘indoor’ or ‘outdoor’, or ‘greenhouse’, in the Cannabis Regulations. Generally, Health Canada considers indoors to be located within a building with a roof and walled structure built for permanent use.

The determination of whether a specific greenhouse is considered indoor or outdoor is one that the applicant will have to make based on the characteristics of the greenhouse itself.  Some examples, are whether the greenhouse is a solid structure with a foundation, whether it is portable, and if it is available year-round.  Please be advised that Health Canada cannot provide interpretation of regulations on behalf of applicants.” – health canada email response

basically if Im not near a school or public land then I can build a greenhouse with a nice foundation for 37 plants bypasing the 10 outdoor plant limit which i could have used stuff like solar concentrators and skylights to augment indoor growing. it does say to not grow indoor and outdoor at same time aswell.

this was the licence options i should have just picked outdoor. ill have to change it still.

Indoor – You may grow 49 plants indoors, with a maximum 2205 grams in storage.

OR

Outdoor – You may grow 19 plants outdoors, with a maximum 7125 grams in storage.

OR

Indoor/Outdoor – You may grow 37 plants indoors AND you may grow 10 plants outdoors, with a maximum 3750 grams in storage.”

micro cultivation licence can provide outdoor growing for farmers but am unsure how it works still. but just to apply can cost upwards of 1000 dollars… seems a bit unfair to farmers so i chose to do the prescription method.
