weyrhouser back in 2011 closed down alot of OSB mills possibly due to overstocking it. the price has went from 11 dollars a sheet for 7/16 to 60 dollars a sheet a 5x increase from a working society to one who cannot afford to get building construction work or do work for a reasonable price. I wonder why they are waiting still to reopen their OSB mills that were closed down. theres no reason a OSB shortage should last this long with those kind of prices.

I think its aimed at keeping housing prices artificially high. reason being everyone is worried about a housing crash or that its happened many times before. this is probably the main reason we don’t see cheaper house kits and competitions to build the cheapest houses for cold climates and they also work well for warm climates.
